5 Killer Guns That Should Be In John Wick 4

The John Wick movies have done an awesome job of showcasing amazing tactical gear, and blazing fast shooting. The directors have done their best to portray more realistic combat shooting with the correct style of tactical equipment. However, I have found myself saying that some of the gun choices have been a little suspect. In this article we are going to cover the firearms that I think should be used in John Wick 4. Keep reading for more.

The Guns Every International Assassin Needs

If you’re a nerd like me, you’ve realized that John Wick tends to have a similar arsenal in each movie. There’s a featured pistol that he generally carries throughout the film. He also has a back up, sub compact pistol, that is carried as well.

As we move through the film, we encounter a higher class of villain, where John will need to acquire some more serious fire power. For these scenes, he will generally use a long gun, either a carbine or shotgun. By the end of the film, he will no doubt use a few wild card weapons that he acquires from the piles of dead baddies around him. Here is my list for what firearms JW should utilize in the upcoming John Wick Chapter 4 Film.

5 Killer Guns That Should Be In John Wick 4

As you will see, I’ve picked these for several reasons. Some of them are the newest hottest gun you can get. Some are something no international assassin would be caught without. And others I just think are bad ass. If you think I missed the mark, put your choices in the comments below.

If you want to read my previous article where I figure out exactly how much it would cost to be John Wick including the car, the guns, and all the little details that make JW so badass, then check out the article. Now, let’s get on to the specifics of each firearm!

John Wick 4 EDC Pistol: Atlas Nemesis V2

If you watch closely, you can discern a noticeable trend where John Wick gradually starts using better and better pistols. Initially, he was using striker fired polymer guns from Glock and HK. In the last movie, he moved up to a semi custom 2011 pistol. I say it’s past time that John uses a fully custom built 2011.

If you aren’t a competition shooting nerd, then you may not be familiar with Atlas Gunworks. They are a newish company that specializes in making custom 2011 pistols. These guns seriously rock, and have gained a lot of supporters in the competition shooting community.

The Nemesis is a very cool pistol, with some bespoke features you aren’t likely to find anywhere else. It’s available in 9mm, and 40 S&W, and it’s most interesting feature is it’s sight tracker. Watch the video above, and you’ll notice that the front sight is actually stationary. The slide cycles behind the block that the front sight sits on. This allows you track the front sight much better, since it doesn’t move. It also moves more weight further forward where it can mitigate recoil.

The only downside is that these 2011 pistols from Atlas Gunworks are very expensive. The basic Nemesis V2 starts at $5900, and only goes up from there. That’s going to require more than a few gold coins from JW! Next, let’s see what carbine he should be carrying.

John Wick 4 Combat Carbine: Sig Sauer MCX Rattler

It took me quite a while to figure out which carbine should be used in John Wick 4. Given the covert nature of many of the action scenes, I think the Sig Sauer Rattler in 300 blackout, would be a reasonable choice. It’s a great caliber, and it’s very cool. Don’t believe me? Check out this video.

Obviously, John Wick can’t rock a basic Sig Sauer Rattler. He needs legit optics, lasers, and more. If you want to read my master review of the Sig Sauer MCX Rattler, then click here for the review, and all the best accessories.

Cinematically, I think John should set his rifle up very similarly to how Garand Thumb has his set up. We could also add a little more drama with a flip out magnifier. I can easily see a scene where he is blasting away at close range, and then he flips the magnifier over to engage some bad guys further away. Now that we’ve covered the pistol and the rifle, let’s move on to something that we don’t normally see JW shoot, a sniper rifle.

John Wick 4 Semi Automatic Sniper Rifle: SCAR 20S

True movie aficionados will remember that in the first film John Wick briefly used a bolt action sniper rifle. Personally, I don’t think John Wick is the type of guy to work a bolt gun. John shoots fast, and he needs a semi auto sniper rifle. I think the SCAR 20S is just the firearm to fit the bill.

Now, I’m not exactly sure that flat dark earth will fit in with the John Wick aesthetic. He’s more of a multicam black kind of guy. I would imagine there’s probably someone at the Continental that can hook JW up with a nice cerakote job. Either way, I think John would should be using the SCAR 20s, ideally in 6.5 Creedmoor. After all, .308 is so last century.

The SCAR 20S is a very accurate medium caliber sniper rifle. It’s available in 6.5 Creedmoor, and .308. Most reviewers were easily able to shoot under 1MOA groups. With a good quality optic, and and John Wick behind the glass, this gun is more than cable of dropping bad guys at over 1000 yards.

We also have some interesting options, since this is a different style of weapon system than John traditionally uses. We could have some dramatic night vision or thermal sniping scenes. The other benefit with with a semi auto system is the ability to use the rifle at closer range, especially if it’s paired with a canted red dot sight. Now that we’ve covered some of the bigger firearms, let’s get to the back up gun.

John Wick 4 Back Up Gun: Sig Sauer P365x

John always needs a back up gun. Inevitably he will run out of bullets for his primary weapons, or the main antagonist will get the drop on him. I think we need to see some pistols with optics, and the p365 is very compact and is now sold with a dot from the factory.

The P365 has been one of the best carry pistols to come out in the last few years. It has an amazing magazine capacity, and it is very accurate. I recommend that you read our master review of the Sig P365 here, for all the details, accessories, and more.

We’ve also got another cool option here. John could add in a threaded barrel and use it as a suppressed pistol. As we all know, nothing says don’t screw with me like a suppressed pistol! We’ve covered all the usual firearms JW uses, now let’s have some fun with a new firearm type.

John Wick 4 Belt Fed Machine Gun: Sig MG338

Frankly, I’m surprised that John hasn’t used a belt fed machine gun yet. Sure, the HK416 he used in the first film was full auto, but that’s not a machine gun, that’s an assault rifle. I envision this being used towards the end of the movie where the bad guys are massing on him, and John has to make some desperate moves to stay alive.

The MG338 is Sig Sauers submission for a SOCOM request for a next generation machine gun. It weighs around 20 pounds, is suppressed, and is chambered in .338 Norma Magnum. I can certainly tell you that JW won’t be caught dead walking around with a 40lb M240G. How pedestrian!

This machine gun was designed to have the form factor of a medium machine gun, with most of the capability of a heavy machine gun in 50 caliber. Watch the video above, and you’ll see that even at this light weight, the MG338 is quite an awesome piece of hardware.

We’ve covered all the guns that I would love to see JW use in John Wick 4. Let’s wrap it all up and see just how much it’s going to cost to rock these guns.

Final Thoughts

We all know that it you can’t be John Wick on the cheap. If we add up the cost of all these guns we are looking at around $30,000 dollars, depending on accessories. However, I think John is probably good for it. We can’t have him running around spending more time clearing jams, because he’s shooting people with a Kel Tec Yeet Cannon. It just makes for a boring film.

  1. The Atlas Nemesis V2 is not in John Wick 4. Your story needs to be edited before you get sued!!! The pistol in JW4 is the Taran Tactical Sand Viper. Wow!!! What horrible journalism.

    • David read the title. Guns that SHOULD be in JW4. This is NOT a list of the guns that are in JW4. It’s an opinion piece. You need to read the actual article before you can make good comments.
